Design of a Monopulse Antenna using SIW Technology and Slot Arrays

This paper presents a monopulse antenna designed using Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) Technology and slot array concept. The monopulse antenna is designed and simulated at 24 GHz using ANSYS HFSS software. The designed monopulse antenna is observed to be having a -10dB impedance bandwidth (BW) of 540 MHz within the frequency range 24.37GHz to 24.91GHz. The normalized peak sum gain is 11.9dB and null depth of the difference pattern is about -20dB. The proposed antenna is fabricated and experimentally tested. The simulated and experimental results are observed to be in good agreement.
