A Compact Design and Analysis of Ultra-Wide Band Frequency Selective Surface With Three Closely Spaced Bands

In this paper, A design with a single-layer Tri-band Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) is proposed. The Novelty of the proposed FSS is in its three strictly spaced bands at 3.27 GHz, 6.81 GHz and 9.01 GHz and achieves angular stability up to 40° for both transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) polarizations. Any resonance frequency may be obtained by varying the length of the unit cell, making the design extremely adaptable.
