Loop Rectenna Unit for Far Field Wireless Power Transfer Application

This article describes a 2.4 GHz two-port Loop Rectenna Unit (LRU) designed for a distant field wireless power transmission application. Two diodes are used in the configuration with intrinsic combiner characteristics to rectify the signal. Simulations in the full wave EM solver of ANSYS HFSS and Keysight ADS are used to analyse the performance of the suggested structure.
