Analysis of Sensing Performance for a Fully Clamped Functionally Graded Magneto-Electro-Elastic Shell

Based on the first-order shear deformation hypothesis and linear magneto-electro-elastic constitutive equation, two-dimensional finite element models are established for static and dynamic analysis of sensing behavior of functionally graded magneto-electro-elastic (FG-MEE) structures. The static and dynamic characteristics of output electric and magnetic potential of fully clamped FG-MEE shells in two different stacking sequences are studied. The results show that the static and dynamic of the output electric and magnetic potential for FG-MEE shells are equal with respect to the mid-layer and distributed on the same side.
