Electric Vehicles Scenario in India: Trends, Barriers, and Scope

India has been ramping up Electric Vehicle usage lately, to control the effects of environmental pollution. The market has already seen a boom in electric vehicle sales. The Government of India has been implementing various electric mobility policies to decrease fossil fuel use for transportation. Much awareness is being spread about electric vehicles instead of conventional fuel vehicles. This paper aims to study the scenario of electric mobility in India and the barriers to adopting electric vehicles. Some reasons like travel range, battery charging period, initial cost, charging infrastructure, etc are hindering the growth of electric transportation in India.
