Laboratory Access and Evidence System

This article deals with creating a security system for Think Lab: IoT & Vision & Robotics on the premises of the Technical University of Košice. The first phase is the design and the realization system for evidence and access to the laboratory. The system consists of hardware and software parts. The second phase eliminates deficiencies, optimizes overall functionality, and partially automates and extends the system’s functionality realized in the first phase. The main contributions are a user interface with necessary functionalities for laboratory evidence and access. In the improved system after the second phase, the user can also expect faster communication between the individual parts of the system, which results in a shorter time required to verify the authorizations via cards or smartphone. The last part of the system is an automated mobile application with a cognitive design.
