DTC of a synchronous reluctance machine for an autonomous generator operating

This paper deals with the study of a synchronous reluctance machine using Direct torque Control in the case of an autonomous generator operating to supply remote areas. The diphase model of the machine taking account for the saturation along d-axis is first presented. Thus, the DTC principle in the case of generator operating in introduced. The latter is applied to a synchronous reluctance machine and the simulation results obtained through Matlab-Simulink environment are presented showing the effectiveness of such control in the case of autonomous generator operating.
