A Critical Analysis of Existing Intelligent Analytical Techniques for Pile Integrity Test

Pile health testing plays an important role in the safety and integrity of buildings, and there are low-strain integrity testing methods; thermal integrity analysis (TIP) methods; inter-well acoustic logging; Gamma-Gamma logging (GGL) and some less common methods. In this paper, based on the analysis of a large number of scientific papers, a critical analysis of pile capacity and integrity testing is conducted to determine their advantages and disadvantages through the principles of the test methods' formulas, analysis of field investigation data, cost effectiveness, requirements for engineers and method safe-ty, complexity of data processing, range of data deviations, completeness and applicability of data derived models. The proposed classification of pile integrity tests enables a very effective determination of which test type is the best for further geotechnical analysis of structures and which test type should be used in the geotechnical testing phase of design and scientific re-search. The future development of each technique and its sustainability re-search directions are also studied and evaluated. The purpose of this paper is to provide a reliable and effective reference platform for pile foundation integrity researchers.
