Simulation study on penetration effect of projectile impacting concrete target

Using the numerical simulation method, the process of 76mm caliber rigid projectile penetrating concrete target at different incident angles is studied. In the calculation process, the concrete material adopts the HJC model, considering the influence of material damage, strain rate effect and hydrostatic pressure on the yield stress, and studies the relationship between different incident angles, projectile impact velocity, penetration depth and penetration time. The research results can provide a theoretical basis for the prediction of penetration capability, structural response analysis, structural optimization and material selection of high speed non-positive projectiles.
