Analysis of Flow Characteristics Around a Cylinder With Front Beak Structure

Karman Vortex Street phenomenon plays an important role in building safety. In this paper, ANSYS software will be used to conduct three-dimensional fluid structure coupling numerical simulation and calculation to study the fatigue damage of Karman Vortex Street phenomenon caused by the flow around the ocean cylinder. The total strain and equivalent stress diagram of the flow around the cylinder are obtained. It can be seen that adding a beak structure in front of the cylinder can reduce eddy current, and the inhibition effect is proportional to the protrusion length.
