Digital Image Processing Based Pest Detection

In the recent times it is found that there is a growing interest in the field of agriculture and its research. However, larger amount of pest are mostly used in today's agriculture in order to increase the yield to greater extent. Traditional method of removing pest is difficult in large field. So, other recent techniques can be used to detect pests on leaves. Image processing techniques are tremendously used for the pest identification. In this technique, the images are preprocessed into grey colored image and then by feature extraction, they are classified. Here, using PyCharm software, the desired process is achieved. It involves separation of image into different areas. The RGB image is segmented to obtain the region of interest from image. OpenCV plays an important role in such image processing tools.
