Abstract:

Due to the wide range of applications and the effectiveness of human computer recognition, hand gesture recognition systems have drawn a lot of interest in recent years. Computer functions can be controlled by hand motions thanks to hand gesture control. The play, stop, rewind, volume up, and volume down buttons may all be operated using this hand gesture control. Python programming and Arduino can be used to accomplish it. On detect hand movement, we will externally fix two ultrasonic sensors to laptop computers. PyAutoGUI, a built-in Python library, will be used by us. The Arduino board is attached to the ultrasonic sensor's output pin. Based on predefined movements, the Arduino commands the laptop to carry out the necessary multimedia function.

I. Introduction

Computer science and language technology research on gesture recognition aims to use mathematical algorithms to analyse human gestures. It belongs to the field of computer vision. Gestures can come from any body movement or state, although they usually start with the hand or the face. The field's current priorities include the identification of emotions from facial expressions and hand gestures. Users can interact with or operate devices without touching them directly by using simple gestures. Cameras and computer vision algorithms have been used in a variety of ways to translate sign language. However, gesture recognition approaches also cover the identification and recognition of posture, gait, proxemics, and human behaviours. The purpose of this paper is to make Multi-Media app users' lives easier. Simple access to multimedia features simple handling in an emergency an interesting way to use the multimedia features. On detect hand movement, we will externally fix two ultrasonic sensors to laptop computers. We'll make advantage of PyAutoGUI, a built-in Python package.
