Reverberation of ERP Implementation in Manufacturing Enterprises Process Outcomes through IoT: Evidence from India

Business activities and procedures are provided by an informative interface called enterprise resource planning (ERP). Many different types of enterprises and industries make substantial use of ERP systems. ERP is notably helpful in supporting a company’s efforts to increase productivity, reduce operating expenses, and raise quality through effective resource management and communication. A firm’s business processes are significantly impacted by an installation approach, which also has the potential to lessen organizational resistance. ERP is crucial for organizational process efficiency because it generates a strong response, which is a typical response to change in the market when fresh ideas are introduced. The way factories and industrial processes are run is changing due to IoT. Major manufacturers have already developed the capability to connect objects like various kinds of machinery and materials in order to construct smart production systems. Connectivity is a benefit of industrial IoT, and it also aids in getting a sizeable market share by increasing industrial output through big data analytics. Therefore, firms must swiftly learn about and adopt technology if they hope to continue turning a profit. This study examines how implementing ERP using IoT impacts business process outcomes in the manufacturing sector, specifically how firm performance is improved. For this study, approximately 300 employees from different companies in Bengaluru, Karnataka, participated through a mail survey method. Structural equation modelling has been developed in order to assess the associations between variables. IoT and ERP systems affect the operational process performance of an organization.
