Wearable Circular Monopole Antenna With A Bow-Tie Slot For WiMAX Applications

Recently, the wearable antennas are becoming an attractive research area for WiMAX applications due to its compact size, flexibility and ease of use. ) of -14.08 dB, bandwidth of 3.3 GHz to 4.3 GHz and a gain of 2.29 dBi at 3.6 GHz. The presence of a bow-tie slot in the circular patch is responsible for the compactness of the antenna. The performance analysis of the proposed antenna on different types of deformations such as bending along X axis and Y axis of concave and convex surfaces are carried out. The compactness and stable performance under bending conditions make the proposed compact antenna a propitious candidate for wireless body area networks.
