I. Introduction
The history of credential fraud dates back to the fourteenth century [1]. The increase in global competition and the rise in the number of "for-profit" schools has propelled the widespread culture of credential fraud [2], [3]. Now, this has become a billion-dollar industry [4]. The document, institutional, diploma mills, and accreditation fraud are various forms of credential fraud. Producing counterfeit credentials and illegally altering certificate details are common forms of document fraud [5]. In institutional fraud, a university or school staff creates illegal credentials [6]. Diploma mills are company-like setups that sell fake credentials of unreal universities [7]. Corruption in the accreditation or licensing of universities or schools and bogus accreditation agencies are forms of accreditation fraud. In this work, we focus on addressing document fraud.
