A Review on Alternative Energy Sources

The fundamental purpose of advances in vitality all around the globe is to get it available from micro level to macro level. Conventional resources of vitality, for several factual and particular reasons, not able to fulfill this target. Hence, the focus is shift towards alternative vitality. Alternative energy is a collection of favorable technologies to create energy from naturally replenished sources, which are not popular as conventional sources, but are having many benefits like zero carbon emission, free of cost and abundantly available. In this paper, the various categories of alternative energy sources like 1) Solar energy 2) Wind energy 3) Hydro Energy 4) Bioenergy 5) Geothermal energy 6) Ocean Energy are discussed and identified the best alternative energy source. It is observed that the solar energy and wind energy are the best alternative energy sources which are abundantly available in nature for all days in a year. The world energy generation trend shows that, as compared to other sources wind and solar energy generation are continuously increasing from year 2011 to year 2021. The analysis done for the top countries in the world with respect to energy generation from solar, wind, hydroelectric and bioenergy. It is observed that China is at first position, United State at the second position and India is at third position in the world. The Indian renewable energy status and major ongoing schemes are presented in this paper.
