College 3D Model Rendering Using Three JS

Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, the web has been the most popular platform for software development. The animation and gaming industries have also transitioned from traditional and 2D graphics/animations to 3D. Recently, there has been a lot of innovation in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), and most of it is making its way to the web. 3D Virtual experiences are increasing now-a-days in order to provide a realistic experience over the web, this is made possible with the help of WebGL. WebGL is a cross-platform JavaScript API for rendering 3D graphics in the browser without the need for plugins, and it works with all major browser. Many additional Java Script libraries abstract WebGL, resulting in a higher code level. ThreeJs, the most popular library/API for WebGL-based 3D graphics, is one of the libraries. This paper proposes the implementation of College 3D model rendering using ThreeJs. The main goal is to develop a website which provides a realistic experience of our college infrastructure in a virtual environment using WebGL and Three Js. This system provides the user a virtual tour of the college which includes the exterior campus and the interiors consisting of classrooms, labs, auditorium, etc. with a facility to navigate smoothly around the area in the required direction to gain a proper insight of the amenities with navigational buttons.
