IoT E-health System for Cardiac Telemonitoring

Cardiovascular diseases are epidemic in modern society, affecting people of all ages due to the accelerated pace and complexities of modern living. Continuous monitoring of the primary parameter, such as a person's heart rate, can be very useful for gaining an early knowledge of the situation. In this study, we present a low-cost wireless monitoring system. The idea aids in reducing the cost of labor and ensuring accurate tracking of the heart rate. The monitoring is essential, but so is data storage for analysis at a later date. By utilizing an Arduino and the “Internet of Things” idea, data may be transmitted wirelessly and updated on the web. The major benefit of having this data accessible from anywhere in the globe on any basic computing system is that it provides a glimpse into the patient's cardiac rate pattern in real time, which is incredibly important for reference purposes. The proposed strategy becomes extremely cost-effective when administered to multiple people at once, allowing it to eventually reach the relatively lower strata of society.
