Research and Simulation of a new Multi layered material Coupled Inductor

The paper presents a novel approach to analyzing multi layered material inductors that combine multiple ferrites with different magnetic properties. This work aims to use multi layered material inductors to enable coupled inductors in power converters to flow larger currents without premature saturation of their cores. A research method based on Ansys Maxwell modeling software is validated by comparing the coupled inductance results for a single-material ferrite and a multi layered material ferrite.
