Numerical and Experimental Study of Focusing Radiating Array

The study of radiation properties of a focusing radiating system is conducted by the numerical modeling and obtaining the experimental data. The geometrical and physical parameters of system are chosen in such a way to satisfy the quasioptical conditions. The reflection and transmission coefficients are optimized in order to get the radiation in a far zone as close as possible to a desired one. The total radiation pattern (RP) is calculated as sum of the RPs of separate elements of array. The experimental data at the range of low GHz frequencies testify about the possibility to extend approach proposed for higher frequencies.
