Sliding-Mode Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on New Reaching Law

In order to improve the speed control performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and enhance the anti-interference ability of the system, a new power reaching law (NPRL) is proposed. Based on the power reaching law (PRL), the system state variable term is added, and the saturation function of variable boundary layer is used to replace the original switching function to suppress the inherent chattering phenomenon of sliding-mode control. Afterwards, the PMSM speed controller is designed based on the NPRL, and the stability analysis is validated by the Lyapunov function. Finally, the simulation and experimental results show that compared with PI, NPRL can effectively improve the dynamic performance and robustness of PMSM speed regulation system.
