Design and Implementation of LDAR management and control platform based on Python and YOLOv3

Aiming to improve the efficiency, security, and reliability of the LDAR program, the following Python programmed platform was designed and implemented. This program uses a modular design, having a Log-in module, YOLOv3 training and labeling module, LDAR management module, and monitoring & control module. Therefore, achieving a one-stop solution for visual LDAR inspections and general VOC readings, being capable of multiple tasks, such as autonomous inspection rounds, unmanned vehicle remote control, LDAR information management, recognition algorithm training (YOLOv3), and detecting abnormalities on pipe elements. This platform solution works as a complementary tool for the traditional LDAR program implementation, relying on visual inspections to recollect data from the field and analyze it, increasing the security and reliability of the pipeline and providing the inspector with more information to implement the LDAR program.
