The Influence of Bullying on Anxiety of Primary And Middle School Students Under Data Mining Technology

Objective The purpose of the study is to explore the mediating effect of social support on the level of school bullying and anxiety among primary and middle school students. Methods: the data was collected from 870 students in grades four through six from a school in Feidong County, Hefei city, Anhui Province. The Chinese Version of Bully/Victim Questionnaire the state-trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Social Support Revalued Scale (SSRS) were used.:(1) bullying and bullied had a significant positive correlation; (r T1=0.507, p<01;rT2=0.553, p<0.01) had a significant positive correlation; Anxiety and bullying (r T1=0.158, p<0.01; r T2=0.204, p<0.01) and being bullied (r T1=0.237, p<0.01; r T2=0.314, p <0.01) was significantly positively correlated with social support (r T1= 0.295, p<0.01; r T2=-0.391, p <0.01). (2) Bullying relationship negatively predicted social support (β=-0.224, p <0.001); bullying relationship positively predicted anxiety (β=0.374, p<0.001), and social support negatively predicted anxiety (β=-0.457, p<0.001). Social support partially mediated the relationship among bullying, being bullied, and anxiety. Conclusion: Social support plays an mediating role between bullying and anxiety on campus.
