Fuzzy Logic Control of SEPIC Converter System for 36 W Vertical Wind Turbine Performance Improvement

Direct Current (DC) to DC Single Ended Primary Inductor Converter (SEPIC) is a type of buck-boost converter that can be used to increase or decrease the DC voltage level. A converter with a SEPIC topology has advantages, one of which is a non-inverting DC output, which means it has an output polarity that is parallel to the input polarity. In addition, SEPIC has a low output current ripple so power losses will be lower. This excess will be used to improve the performance of the wind turbine. Experiments using the SEPIC converter with fuzzy logic control on a 38 W vertical wind turbine show that the voltage can be stabilized and efficiency can be increased.
