Phase Coupled Frequency Analysis Based on Time-Varying Bispectrum in Sea Clutter

The properties of phase coupled frequency distribution are seldom mentioned in the analysis of sea clutter properties. In this paper, the phase coupled frequency information of sea clutter is extracted from the time-varying bispectrum estimates of transient sequences separated from the total radar echo by a sliding window. By analyzing CSIR data, it is found that the distribution of phase coupled frequency is more concentrated and the coupling strength is stronger when a target is contained in sea clutter This property can provide a new research direction for target detection in sea clutter.
