Development of a high temperature resistant array type thin-walled unit radome

This paper describes the development process of a thin-walled radome for a ground-based high-mobility radar array unit, which is injection-molded with PEEK resin with high temperature resistance, excellent aging performance and good dielectric properties. The authors studied the dielectric properties of PEEK resin at different temperatures and the effect of different paint layer thicknesses on the dielectric properties of PEEK material from material selection, manufacturing process research and environmental test verification, respectively, and finally successfully developed a radar radome with performance indexes meeting the design requirements.
