Target parameter estimation approach for FDA-MIMO radar in spatial colored noise

A target parameter estimation algorithm for frequency diverse array multiple-input multiple-output (FDA-MIM 0) radar in spatial colored noise environment is developed. This algorithm makes use of the temporal un-correlation of spa-tial colored noise and constructs a four-dimensional covariance tensor to remove the influence of spatial colored noise. The four-dimensional tensor is transformed into a three-dimensional tensor by using the properties of generalized tensorization of parallel factor (PARAFAC) model. The transmitter and receiver steering matrices are obtained by PARAFAC decomposition. Then angle and range is estimated by LS approach. This algorithm not only removes the influence of colored noise, but also utilizes the multi-dimensional structure of tensor data to enhance the estimation performance. The performance of the method in this paper is more outstanding than others. Numerical experiments show the superiority of the method in this paper.
