A Maritime Targets Tracking Algorithm

In order to solve the problem of tracking for maritime targets, this paper proposes Probability Hypothesis Density algorithm with amplitude information(APHD). Traditional radars only use position information for target tracking, however, the amplitude measurement is introduced to track the target with traditional position information measurement in this paper. First, this work assumes that the background is K-distribution, the amplitude measurement is introduced into traditional probability hypothesis density algorithm to establish the amplitude measurement likelihood function between the target and clutter. Second, the amplitude measurement likelihood function is introduced into the update stage, and the updated posterior intensity of Gaussian mixture is used for the estimation of the state of the next frame. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
