Study on the influencing factors of Job Burnout of grass- roots medical staff based on regression analysis

The purpose of the study is to analyze the status of job burnout of medical staff at the grass-roots level and to explore its influencing factors. The modified MBI-HSS scale was adopted for data collection . Independent sample t-test, analysis of variance and regression analysis were used to analyze the data collected by online questionnaire from medical personnel in a hospital of a county-level city in Hubei Province. Results showed that the three dimensions of job burnout existed in most of the grass-roots medical staff. Only 3.3% of medical staff had no job burnout. 83.02% had mild job burnout, 5.66% with moderate job burnout, and 8.02% with severe job burnout. Univariate analysis showed that demographic characteristics (sex, age, married status), occupation related factors (occupation, education, monthly income, working years) and lifestyle (frequency of weekly exercise, whether drinking or smoking) were related with emotional exhaustion and depersonalization (P<0.05). The factors that related with low personal accomplishment were education, monthly income and working years (P<0.05). Regression analysis indicates that income, working years and frequency of weekly exercise are main influencing factors of job burnout. Job burnout is a common phenomenon among medical staff. Regular exercise, improving working environment are the protective factors against job burnout. Measures should be taken to prevent the job burnout of medical staff.
