Research on the influence of digital finance on urban green technology innovation

Green technology innovation is a key tool to achieve carbon emission reduction targets, and the development of digital finance plays an important role in promoting green technology innovation. Based on this, using panel data of 280 cities at prefecture level and above in China from 2011 to 2018, this paper empirically studies the impact of digital finance on urban green technology innovation. The results show that the impact of digital finance on urban green technology innovation has a significant feature of "short-term inhibition at first, then long-term promotion", and this conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests. In the future, cities should further take a variety of measures to promote the high-quality development of digital finance.
