Design of 32-Bit ARM Processor Data Path Units utilizing DVS Current Mode Technique

The architectural simplicity of ARM processors makes them suitable for low power applications. In order to cut down on power usage and increase battery life, the ARM processor was made specifically compact. The design of data path unit of 32-Bit ARM processor using dual voltage stack current mode technique (DVS CM) is presented in this paper. At a power supply of 0.24V, every designed block operates below the threshold voltage. Utilizing 45nm CMOS technology, the Cadence Virtuoso Tool was used to implement the ARM7 data path units. On the Spectra Simulator, the block results have been examined and power and delay estimates have been made.
