Design of a Wideband Dual-Polarized Fabry-Perot Resonator Antenna with High Gain

A wideband dual-polarized Fabry-Perot resonator antenna (FP A) with high gain. Print patches on both sides of the dielectric substrate to form a partially reflective surface. The reflection phase increases with frequency for the proposed partially reflective surface (PRS) over the desired frequency range. Placing the designed PRS above the dual-polarized microstrip antenna can significantly improve the antenna gain. The size of the designed FP A is

. The absolute bandwidth of the input impedance is from 9.36-11.02GHz and from9.19-10.84GHz for ports 1 and 2, respectively (S11 or S22 is less than −10dB). Their relative bandwidths are16.3% and 16.5%, respectively. The transmission coefficient between the two ports of the designed FP A is less than −30dB over the entire impedance bandwidth. The simulated peak realized gain of the designed FP A is 14.7 dB and 14.6dB for port 1 and 2, respectively.8.93-10.58GHz (16.9%) and 8.95-10.62GHz (17.1 %) are the gain bandwidths of two ports of the designed FP A, respectively.
