Exploring the electrical characteristics of Single walled carbon nanotubes (Armchair and Zigzag) based on chiral vector and compare it with mathematical modelling

The electrical characteristics of Single Walled Car-bon Nanotubes (SWCNT) are simulated by varying the chirality (n, m) ranging from 4 to 22. The diameter and circumference of Armchair carbon nanotubes (n=16) is compared with Zigzag Carbon nanotubes (n=16) by varying the parameters (n, m) ranging from 4 to 22 in the NanoHub tool simulation environ-ment. Armchair based carbon nanotube (30°) and zigzag based carbon nanotube (0°) are classified depending on the chiral angle (pi0.05). Diameter and circumference are calculated theoretically. Within the limits of the study it is observed that diameter and circumference of armchair carbon nanotubes and zigzag carbon nanotubes increases when parameters n and m are increased.
