Effect of Photonic Crystal Structure on Heating Efficiency and Uniformity of Rectangular Microwave Reaction Cavity

Based on the Bragg scattering effect of photonic crystal structures on electromagnetic waves, a trapezoidal metal photonic crystal structure is proposed around the inner wall of a conventional rectangular microwave reaction cavity to control the electromagnetic field distribution in the microwave reaction cavity. The effect of photonic crystal structure change on the heating efficiency and uniformity of microwave reaction cavity was studied by finite element method simulation. The basic law of the effect of photonic crystal structure parameters on the heating efficiency and field distribution uniformity of a rectangular microwave reaction cavity is revealed.
