Numerical simulation of a high specific speed centrifugal pump

High specific speed centrifugal pumps as a general machine, high demands are placed on its performance and reliability. In this paper, Creo was used to model the fluid domain of the main flow components of the high specific speed centrifugal pump studied. In addition, ANSYS ICEM was used to divide the water mesh and verify the mesh independence. Ultimately, the appropriate number of meshes was found. Using ANSYS to calculate the constant value of high specific speed centrifugal pump under the large flow conditions and different number of blades. By comparing the simulation results with the experimental results, it is found that the difference between the overall trend of the simulation and the experimental data is within 5%. Therefore, the simulation is reasonable and effective.
