Does ESG Score and Intangible Asset improve Financial performance?: Machine Learning Model of KOSPI Enterprises

Recently, Korean companies are recognizing sustainability in corporate management, and are adopting the activities regrading of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Non-financial information, especially corporate social responsibility can be key element in determining the long-run value of companies. This study aims to find out whether ESG score, and intangible assets affect firm's financial performance. The data of 684 public companies listed on the KOSPI were collected to analyze the firm's performance indicators ROA, ROE, and Tobin's-Q and predict firm's financial performance developing a machine learning approach.
