Optimization of Fresh Produce Transaction Strategies with Different Freshness-Keeping Effort

In retailing industry of fresh produce, the retailing store chooses to sell fresh produce through the online platform, cooperating in the wholesale mode or the agency mode. This paper constructs a Stackelberg game model of a fresh produce retailing store and the online platform. The retailing store sells fresh produce to consumers through the online platform in different transaction modes. We discuss the optimal transaction modes strategies of the retailing store and the platform, and analyze how the platform's distribution and preservation services level and cost of fresh produce and agency commission rate affect the optimal decisions in different transaction strategies.
