A study on the digitization of ancient books of the Ersu Shaba

The study of the Ersu Shaba script, a more primitive pictorial script than the oracle bone script, occupies an important place in the history of China's writing development, and its study is conducive to redrawing the development of Chinese writing and solving the mystery of the ethnic origins of southwest China. However, because of the difficulty of reading and Spreading the Ersu Shaba books, the study of the Ersu Shaba script has been difficult. In this paper, two computer-aided tools are designed for the digitizationof ethnic books: one is an input method tool for inputting the Ersu Shaba script in a way by free splitting, which can be used in Word and text documents and other text editing software to enter the Ersu Shaba script. The other is a tool for computer recognition and translation of pictures of the Ersu Shaba script. This tool can slice and recognise the Ersu Shaba pictures to form 7 blocks, compare the corpus and the similarity of the sliced blocks through the cosine similarity algorithm, and output results of the computer translation. After testing and running through a python program, proved this computer recognition and translate tool is feasible. These two computer-aided tools designed in this paper fill the gap of digital identification and analysis in the process of collating and digitising ancient books of the Ersu Shaba in China, and initially achieve the goal of collating and digitising ancient books of the Ersu.
