Surface deformation monitoring and identification of potential geological hazards in Funing pumped storage power station based on Time Series InSAR

Pumped-storage hydropower stations have a strong demand for surface deformation monitoring and early warning of geological hazards in engineering construction. As an efficient large-scale deformation monitoring method, Time Series InSAR can effectively meet the needs of pumped-storage hydropower stations. Interferometric Point Target Analysis (IPTA) is an emerging InSAR deformation measurement technique. It overcomes the problem that conventional radar Differential Radar Interferometry (DInSAR) is greatly affected by decoherence factors and atmospheric delay. This paper introduces the IPTA method and processing flow, and obtains the surface deformation rate of Hebei Funing Pumped Storage Power Station from October 2021 to June 2022 based on Sentinel-1 data, and identifies potential geological hazards.
