Image Processing with OpenCV for Hand Gesture Recognition

The paper presents the stages of frame processing using OpenCV for subsequent gesture recognition. At the beginning, a brief overview of an existing solution is given. Each step of the analysis method used is described. An algorithm for reducing ”convexity defects” is proposed. Tests were performed using a printed gesture on a piece of paper and using a black glove. The results of the testing are presented, and the problems that need to be overcome are described.
