Prevention of complications after transurethral interventions on the prostatic hyperplasia

The clinical effect of the drug Colegel in the prevention of complications after transurethral endoscopic surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia was evaluated. The research was conducted in two groups of patients operated on for benign prostatic hyperplasia by bipolar transurethral resection method. In the postoperative period, 23 patients of the main group underwent 4 intravesical instillations of Colegel. 22 patients of the comparison group received standard therapy in the postoperative period. The clinical effect was assessed 1, 3 and 6 months after the operation based on the results of a comprehensive urological examination. The study showed that in the main group, 1 and 3 months after the operation, fewer dysuric disorders appeared. The use of the drug Colegel improves the results of endoscopic operations for benign prostatic hyperplasia and reduces the number of early and late postoperative complications, speeds up rehabilitation, and improves patients’ life quality.
