Long-term results of treatment of torpid trophic ulcers of the lower extremities

Torpid trophic ulcers - these are spontaneous or traumatic lesions, usually of the lower extremities, that fail to respond poorly or completely to initial therapy or persist despite appropriate treatment and do not heal over an extended period of time. The application of the principles of regenerative medicine, which are actively developing, in the treatment of such diseases is based on the use of both autologous blood derivatives (platelet-rich plasma) and autologous mononuclear cells. Purpose of the study: to evaluate the long-term effectiveness of the use of platelet-rich plasma in the treatment of torpid ulcers of the lower extremities. The article compares the long-term results of the use of autologous plasma enriched with platelet lysate and standard therapy. According to our data, double injection of autologous platelet-rich plasma accelerates the epithelialization of skin defects of the lower extremities in patients with trophic ulcers. and reducing the number of recurrences of the appearance of trophic ulcers.
