Machine Learning Methods in the Electric Power Industry

In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in the application of machine learning in various areas of the electric power industry. The presence of a large amount of data, the high complexity of tasks and the need for rapid response makes machine learning methods attractive for many areas of the modern world. In this work, a review of publications considering machine learning in the framework of various problems of the electric power industry was carried out. More than 8 thousand articles were involved in the work, and the analytics were carried out using the developed software. The most commonly used methods have been identified. The trends of their application within the framework of separate tasks in the field of electric power industry are studied. Based on the data obtained, conclusions were drawn about the current state of various areas of the electric power industry in terms of the use of machine learning in them.
