Mathematical Model “Spine — Pelvis — Lower Extremities”

The purpose of the study is to develop a kinematic parametric model including the spine and lower extremities for the analysis of biomechanical aspects of mechanogenesis of the vertebral–femoral syndrome.To model the human skeleton, the method of constructing a kinematic chain was used.The initial parameters of the model are based on anthropometrically and X-ray morphometricallyx datax. The mathematical formulation of the model is presented. With the help of the model, variants of functional states are reproduced (lateral inclinations due to segments of the spine, in combination with hip joints, standing on one leg), which makes it possible to verify the adequacy of the chosen approach the irradiated data are consistent with similar data obtained by other methods.Modeling of various types of deformities of the lower extremities was carried out. On the basis of the experiments conducted using the created kinematic parametric model, the influence of various types and severity of shortening of the lower limb and compensatory reactions on the formation of deformations of the supporting skeleton was analyzed. It is proved that the most pronounced biomechanical disorders occur with anatomical shortening of the lower limb, and compensatory mechanisms do not provide normalization of biomechanical disorders, and create a new pathological state of the musculoskeletal system.
