QR Code Image Refinement by Deep Learning

This study examines a method of refining a low-resolution QR code image photographed from a distance into a decodable code image by using pix2pix, a deep learning technique. The experimental results confirm that the method can decode a 5.2 cm-square QR code taken from a distance of 4 m.
