Creating Evaluation Function of Two Camera Positions for Feature-rich Deer Photography

In recent years, farmland has become a problem in mountainous areas where vermin such as deer and wild boars have been destroying farmland. Since the ropeway camera monitoring system allows the cameras to move, it is possible to obtain detailed information on the species, body length, and patterns of vermin by taking pictures of the target vermin with multiple cameras in a coordinated manner. In order to automate the appropriate change of camera positions in this system, it is necessary to clarify from which position multiple cameras should shoot the target point to obtain a high-quality image. In this study, we focus on the shooting of deer by two cameras, quantify the amount of information that can be obtained when humans view two given images based on a questionnaire, and interpolate by the inverse distance weighting (IDW) method. The evaluation function outputs the amount of information obtained from the image taken from the position of the two cameras, taking the distance and shooting angle of the object as input.
