Evaluation of Home Appliance Speakers with Correction Filters for Voice Communications

The purpose of this research is to ensure the ease of listening by adjusting the voice characteristics without changing the output hardware so that existing IoT home appliances can be used without modifications. In this paper, we first implemented a correction filter for home appliance speakers with poor sound quality, and its performance was quantitatively evaluated using speech intelligibility. As a result, the speech intelligibility with environmental noise improved by 10 to 15 points.
