A study of social support and leisure constraints on the leisure participation intention of the elderly

Taiwan’s technology and medical level are improving day by day. Diseases that were difficult to treat in the past can now be gradually controlled, and the average life expectancy of the people across the country has been extended. Furthermore, people have higher and higher requirements for the quality of life. Benefiting from the advancement of technology, information is relatively abundant and readily available. Taiwan’s population aging rate ranks first in the world, and population aging has become a norm, which highlights the importance of smart urban and rural areas (such as smart health). Taiwan has become an aging society in 1993, and turned into an aged society in 2018. It is estimated that it will enter a super-aged society in 2025 [1].
