Evaluation of TCP Performance Under In-Vehicle Networks With IEEE 802.1 TSN

The Ethernet-based next-generation in-vehicle networks adopt IEEE 802.1TSN, which is standard to transmit time-sensitive data. IEEE 802.1TSN defines many priority controls, such as SPQ, CBS, TAS. On the other hand, TCP is considered to be used automotive networks. However, QoS of TCP under in-vehicle Ethernet with IEEE 802.1TSN has not been clarified. This paper evaluates QoS of TCP under in-vehicle networks by experiment; it also considers TCP congestion control suitable for in-vehicle networks.
