Vision-Sensing-Assisted Focused Beamforming for Wireless Energy Transfer

A vision-sensing transmit phase optimization scheme is described for focused-beamforming wireless energy transfer in short ranges. A square position marker with the same size of([a-z]+) a planar phased array is utilized to estimate the path length that determines array edge-element phase shifts. The remaining array element phases are then determined by parabolic interpolation. Our simulation results demonstrated that our scheme provided optimum transmit phases and thus it is applicable to an automatic guided vehicle equipped with a phased array that is slowly approaching a target receive antenna.
